PV forecasting toolkit



The forecasting toolkit consists of two components:
(1) M-UNIT, a radiometric station designed for monitoring the radiometric and the meteorological parameters and
(2) C-UNIT, a server which store the database, manage the data fluxes and run the forecasting applications. The forecasts are tested are tested against data collected on an experimental PV system of 540 Wp.



M-UNIT on the Solar Platform.
M-UNIT is equipped with a DeltaT sunshine pyranometer SPN1 which allows measuring the global and diffuse components of solar irradiance along with the sunshine number, temperature, RH and wind sensors. Data are stored by a DeltaT GP2 data logger and communicated to C-UNIT via a GPRS modem. M-UNIT is powered by a micro PV system. The experimental PV system designed to test the forecasts accuracy.
